About Us

Veggie Globe is your guide to traditional food, made vegan.

We don’t do lists of smoothie bowls. We don’t care how many places offer oat milk. What we do care about is helping you find the real food of a country — the dishes that define its culture — in vegan form.

Think pastel de nata in Lisbon. Francesinha in Porto. Fish and chips by the British seaside. A spice bag on a rainy night in Dublin. If it’s iconic, comforting, or eaten with your hands, we want to find the vegan version.

What We Do

We travel, we eat, and we ask a lot of questions. Then we share vegan-friendly versions of national and regional dishes, along with the restaurants, cafés, pubs, bakeries, and street food stalls that are getting it right.

Every guide we publish is focused on local flavour first. That means:
– Traditional dishes made plant-based
– Where to find them (not just how to make them)
– Supermarket and bakery tips for DIY cravings
– No fluff, no filler, no kale salads (unless they’re actually amazing)

Who We Are

We’re food obsessives, frequent flyers, and curious eaters. Some of us are vegan. Some of us are mostly vegan. All of us are passionate about exploring culture through food — and making sure nobody misses out because of how they eat.

Why It Matters

Food is connection. It’s identity. It’s memory. And for too long, plant-based travellers have had to sit on the sidelines while everyone else tucks into the local special. We’re here to change that — one vegan bitoque, cornish pasty, or boxty at a time.

Got a tip? Spotted an incredible vegan version of a local classic? Send it our way — we love a good food lead.
